JLG Forklift Parts - Following retirement in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started out on a cross country RV trip. After spending many years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this trip would bring about the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling equipment was the end consequence of a road trip.

While on their journey, John spent time talking to former business contacts whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic event-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John discovered a substantial marketplace for a product that could promptly and securely lift individuals in the air to accomplish upkeep and other construction services.

Following their return from vacation, John set up a joint venture with two of his friends and bought a metal fabricating business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting with a small crew of twenty staff, they fashioned and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates some of the basic design essentials of that original lift into current designs.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a great distance from when Mr. John L. Grove came back from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the business has expanded itself into quite a few international markets and continues to develop innovative equipment to guarantee that customers are able to become safer and more efficient within their workplace.
